The Crisis Center for South Suburbia is a non-profit community organization that provides emergency shelter and other essential services for individuals and families victimized by domestic violence and addresses the societal issues that contribute to domestic violence.
South Side Help Center (SSHC) is purposed to help people of all ages embrace a lifestyle of prevention against mental, physical and social ills by providing positive, healthy alternatives so that community residents can lead productive lives. South Side Help Center (SSHC) has been serving Chicago’s South Side for over thirty years. Our programs and services have grown and evolved so that we may better serve the needs of our clients and community. However, our reason for being remains the same: to provide people with positive healthy alternatives.
We offer warm, direct and engaging psychotherapy services in a private practice setting with flexible and convenient hours.
Our therapists and counselors have significant experience and expertise in working with clients who struggle with a range of emotional difficulties, including anxiety, mood disorders, identity struggles, addiction, LGBTQ, gender and men’s issues.
