Yoga Six (Wilmette)

Art therapy is an effective therapeutic approach in which the therapist uses art media, the creative process, and the art that is produced in session to explore a client’s feelings, concerns, and struggles. It can help to improve social and interpersonal skills, reduce stress, and contribute to an overall sense of well being. Art therapy can be used in sessions with adults, teens, children, and families. There is no need for a client to have any previous art education or experience in order to engage in the art therapy process.
